February 12: We were supposed to get a big winter storm today, they predicted 5-7 in. of snow and some wintry mix in there as well...but as you can see from the pictures, we probably only ended up with 3 in. or so of snow, some of which melted with the rain that followed! After the rain, there wasn't much snow left, to the kids' disappointment! Drew had his first snow day, though, and he thought that was kind of cool. When Daddy got home from work, he decided to shovel the drive instead of using the snowblower, because the snow was heavy from all of the rain. The kids thought that was a great idea. Here's Drew shoveling...

Katie, and even Alex, got their shovels and went to work as well!!!

The temperature warmed up with the rain, and Rich got too "warm" shoveling in his down jacket, so he took it off. The neighbors probably thought he was crazy!

Alex likes to find big chunks of snow to carry around...

...and lick!

Katie was making snowballs and throwing them at daddy...in his short sleeves...I'm sure that felt good!

I have outgrown my winter coat (it refuses to be zipped anymore!) so I only had on a vest and I was freezing! I guess I wasn't shoveling, though!

Katie had a lot of fun making snow angels all over the yard...

...here is one of her many snow angels!

Drew went over to help Miss Lisa shovel her driveway...or talk her ear off...whichever! He thought this picture was funny because Sophie is mid-jump and she looks like she is off the ground!
