August 3: We took Drew and Katie to the Irish Festival here in Dublin. If you go to mass in the outdoor tent on Sunday morning, you get in free to the festival for the rest of the day...see, it pays to be Catholic! Nana and Papaw came to visit and stayed home with Alex and Will, but we ended up taking them back with us in the evening so we could see Sophie, our neighbor's Irish dog. And, of course, jump some more! Here are Drew and Katie, in line for an obstacle course...

Then Drew discovered the rock wall...and we discovered that Drew has a fiercely competitive streak in him...he would not stop until he made it to the top of that rock wall. He did it on his 3rd try...in between the 1st and 3rd attempts it was all he could think about, he couldn't focus on anything but going back and trying again!
And here is the video when he made it to the top! On our 2nd return to the festival later that day, he made it to the top again, at a harder climbing spot. He was beyond proud of himself and we, of course, were very proud of him for sticking with it!
